Studied under Dr. Greg Boyle and Dr. Geoffrey Wright. Peabody Computer Music Department Scholarships and grants recipient. Graduate Assistant and Manager of the Computer Music Studios 314 and 307 at the Peabody Computer Music Department.

Scholarship recipient by the Peabody Institute at JHU, graduated with honors in only three years of study, in the studio of Ray Chester. Makes numerous performances in Master Classes of international renown artists such as Manuel Barrueco and Benjamin Verdery. Other teachers: Julian Gray - Guitar literature; Ronn McFarlane - Lute and Lute literature; Dr. Thomas Benjamin - Music Theory, among others.


1989-1995 Private studies under guitarist Aldo Lagrutta, Caracas, Venezuela; Hartford, Connecticut and Baltimore, Maryland, USA.

During a period of intense studies -paralell to be enrolled at the Peabody Conservatory of the Johns Hopkins University as a full-time student- conducts private studies with virtuoso Venezuelan guitarist Aldo Lagrutta, with emphasis on the study of Venezuelan music for guitar; the Baroque music for Lute of Johann Sebastian Bach; the works of the romantic virtuosos Mauro Giulliani, Fernando Sor and the Francisco Tárrega; the Latin American music of Heitor Villa-Lobos, Agustin Barrios, Leo Brouwer among others. Also studied the methods and concert Etudes for guitar of Aguado, Carcasi, Sor, Villa-lobos and Brouwer.

1988-1990 National Conservatory "Jose Angel Lamas" and "José Reyna" School of Music, in Caracas, Venezuela.

Studied Classical Guitar in the chairs of the teachers: Douglas Estévez, Leopold Igarza and Aldo Lagrutta. Advances six levels in just two years. Also study Music Theory, Complementary Piano, Harmony and Music History.

1984-1987 School of Humanities and School of Music at the University of the Andes, Mérida, Venezuela.

Conducts studies of Literature and Art History and Criticism at the School of Humanities at the University of the Andes. At the same time, studied Music Theory and Classical Guitar at the School of Music of the University of the Andes.
